LASG, Ojokoro LCDA Will Continue to Have Zero Tolerance for SGBV Violators - Mrs. Olowosayo

By Imabong Etuk, Correspondent

The Head of Department, Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation ( HOD, WAPA), Ojokoro Local Council Development Area (LCDA), in Lagos State, south-west Nigeria, Mrs. Olowosayo Victoria have sent a stern

warning to all men and boys living in and within the local council development area in particular, and Lagos State in general, who are still bent on abusing the female gender, especially the girl child in any way - be it physical assaults, molestation, of any sort, beating or rape to henceforth desist from such behaviors, saying that the current administration of Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu in Lagos State, south-west Nigeria, and the Executive Chairman of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area Hon. Hameed Idowu aka HID, will continue to maintain their zero tolerance to such indecent and barbaric acts, and will not fail to invoke the full force of the law to punish anyone found guilty of any of such anti-social acts.

Mrs. Olowosayo gave this warning during a chat with the Publisher of LAGOS CITY NEWS Online – Mazi Amb. Uzoma Emmanuel Oduigwe, gmpa, when the latter paid her a courtesy visit in her Ojokoro Council office recently.

Mrs. Olowosayo in her contributions wondered why someone in his right senses would resort to any of those low dehumanizing behaviors in a 21st Century Nigeria.

She called on the society in general not to condone such behaviors, by keeping quite all in the name of not wanting to be victims stigma or isolation, and for victims to be bold to speak out so as to be assisted psychologically and otherwise, and for culprits to be made to face the law.

In her words: "victims and their families should feel free to come to my office, ask to see me in confidence, and we will take it up from there," she assured.

PUBLISHER'S NOTE:

Mrs. Olowosayo and her LCDA are joint nominees to the fast approaching 2025, 13th edition of the LAGOS CITY NEWS' Annual National Development Merit Awards (ANDevMA 2025) holding in Lagos State, south-west Nigeria.
